What up Family? I had a hell of a weekend!!! My lady and I went to Dallas to see Ms. Erykah Badu, and it was excellent. She showed up 2 1/2 hours late and we forgot once she got on stage!!!! WOW!!!! She sashayed out in a green catsuit with a green poncho layered on top and a green knit hat...Stood at the mic silently for a second then began to sing....My eyes are green/ cuz I eat a lot of vegetables..... We were all mezmerized!!!! I was for the simple reason that I never realized before this concert how beautiful Ms. Badu's voice is. Not only was her voice great, but there was so much love in the air. Speaking of love I have to take the time to shout out Pinky. WHAT UP PINK!!!???? I have to shout her out, because my lady and I waited til the last minute to buy our tix, right? It was cool though cuz we had one seat in front of the other, however, we got there and the wonderful Pinky had the seat next to me. She decided that black love should be commended and it was more beautiful than a closer seat and then gave hers up just so my lady and I could sit together. Thats love. Back to the concert. SOOO after finishing her first song she {Erykah} joked about her tardy arrival saying "the band made me mad to taking all day to show up and shit!!! Making me look bad." She then commenced to just putting on a great show, performing all her classics such as Bag Lady, Next Liftime, Other Side of the Game, In Love With You. Not only did she perform the originals of these joints she also did live remixes of these joints. And yes, yes, yes she did do the new joints.... Soldier, The Cell, Master Teacher, & then left us with some sweetness..... HONEY. Thank you Ms. Badu. OH WOW but wait a sec, how could I have completely forgotten the ultimate hi-light of the show? Family Erykah jumped of the stage while singing Bag Lady and handed her mic to a extremely huge fan of hers and allowed my man from Crowley, Texas to serenade her with out the band for a smooth minute and half. And homey could go. Honestly though, this weekend Erykah showed my lady and I HER DALLAS and an excellent "6montheversary". So let me end this by sending a shout to my "FUTURE." I love you V, and Thank God for you! You are the perfect pen to write this life story with!!!!
